Foxy Roxy Winery and StoneRidge Vineyards
Nestled on the Royal Slope in the heart of the Columbia Valley, halfway between Royal City and Othello on Highway 26 sits the award winning, Foxy Roxy Winery and StoneRidge Vineyards. As the name implies, this winery is fun, but they are serious about the wine they make.
The Foxy Roxy Winery will give you the experience you crave and wine you love. They have a Chardonnay that will send your taste buds into overload and a truly German Gewürztraminer that is perfect to enjoy with friends under the stars on a warm summer evening. Or try one of Foxy Roxy’s flirty wines: Vixen Red or Roxy’s Rose, both are sure to please.
This winery has a beautiful location, perfect for bridal showers or just a day out with friends. Bring your camera when you visit, because it’s simply picturesque. The rolling hills of this farming community are smack dab in the center of the Columbia Valley Basin and that makes it a perfect place to grow grapes, and the Foxy Roxy Winery has the awards to prove it.
The Foxy Roxy Winery has been winning awards for their wines since about 2007. They have a silver and bronze from the 2007 Tri-Cities Wine Festival for their 2006 Ice Wine and their 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, two silver medals from the 2008 Central Washington State Wine Competition for their 2007 Gewürztraminer and their 2006 Vixen, three silver medals from the 2009 Central Washington State Wine Competition for their 2006 Vixen, 2008 Gewürztraminer and their 2006 Syrah.
This Washington State Winery has also ventured east and took the Finger Lakes Region by storm. In 2010, the Foxy Roxy Winery won silver medals at the New York Finger Lakes Wine Competition, where thousands of wineries compete. They were awarded silver medals for their 2008 Gewürztraminer and their 2008 Vixen.
Making great wine is a tradition at the Foxy Roxy Winery but the only way to know that is to taste it for your self. Put a circle around the Foxy Roxy Winery on your wine trail map and make it a point to stop. The winery tasting room is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5, March through November and be sure to stop by Summerfest, the Annual Community Festival, always the second week in July.
