The Columbia Valley Winery Association hosts Catch the Crush the last weekend in September and New Release VIP wine month in March.  Our member wineries, as well as wineries in surrounding wine regions,  participate in many other northwest wine events that are listed below.

 6, 13, 20 & 27   Jazz in June

Join us every Friday in June at the John Dam Plaza in Richland for our second annual "Jazz in June" smooth jazz concert series showcasing up and coming local jazz artists.  This is a spectacular venue to enjoy local talent and the fruits of the vine.   For more information, please email nwaentertainment@gmail.com

 

JULY

 25 & 26   Hot Jazzy Nightz

It's hot outside...but the jazz will keep you cool.  Join us at the John Dam Plaza in Richland from 7 pm to midnight for a fine evening of wine, regional and local jazz, superb cuisine, and good times under the starts.  This event highlights new groups in our jazz venue, showcases 10 wineries with over 20 wines presented and paired with BBQ and gourmet flatbreads.  The jazz concert is free, but VIP tickets cost $40 in advance ($50 at the event).  Your VIP entry opens your access to an evening to explore over 20 wines of choice through the night and a souvenier wine glass.  Tickets can be purchased at www.nwallianceevents.com.

AUGUST

 19 - 23   Benton Franklin Fair Wine Garden

Enjoy a robust red or a cool white in the cool wine garden at this years fair and rodeo. More than a dozen different wines will be available  from 4 pm to 11 pm daily.  Bring in your favorite fair food, listen to some live music, and sip some fantastic local wines (along with a few beers).  There is no entry fee and wine is sold by the glass.  For more information on the fair, visit www.bffairrodeo.com.

SEPTEMBER

 27 & 28  Catch the Crush

Join the Columbia Valley wineries in celebrating harvest with grape stomps, harvest and crush activities, winery tours, free run juice, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and of course – wine tasting! Our member wineries will be open from 10 am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday (check event page for specific winery hours).  There is no charge for regular admittance, but an optional VIP ticket can be purchased for $20.  The VIP ticket entitles the holder to a Riedel wine glass and extra discounts, food, and tastings at participating wineries.   For more information or tickets, visit our Catch the Crush page or call 866.360.6611.

 

OCTOBER

 1 - 31  Savor the Arts

More than 40 Yakima Valley wineries open their doors following Thanksgiving to celebrate the season. Come sample our finest wines and carefully selected culinary pairings from local restaurants. This event offers consumers a perfectly paired recipe with a Yakima Valley wine, and education on why the two pair well together.  7 & 8   Tri-Cities Wine Festival

The Tri-Cities Wine Festival will includes educational seminars and a public seminar.  The public tasting of all the judged wines will be held the evening of November 8 at the Pasco Red Lion Hotel.  24 - 26  Spring Barrel Tasting

Spring Barrel Tasting weekend in the Yakima Valley features winemakers and cellar staff who are on hand to share insights and answer questions on the winemaking process.
