Catch the Crush

September 26 & 27, 2009

Join the Columbia Valley wineries in celebrating harvest and crush at the 23rd annual "Catch the Crush" event in the heart of Washington's wine country. Each of the wineries offers its own celebratory events including grape stomps, harvest and crush activities, winery tours, free run juice, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and of course – wine tasting! Don’t miss out on the beauty of the Indian Summer in the Columbia Valley vineyards and our great wines on special this weekend.

Please bring your own glass, or plan on purchasing a glass at a participating winery.  There is no charge for regular admittance.

The wineries have chosen not to offer the VIP tickets.  Each winery will be celebrating crush and harvest in their own unique way (as normal).  There is no cost to participate in the weekend, but each winery may choose to charge their own tasting fees.  Please see the information below for more details and winery contact information.

Oakwood Cellars Celebrates its 22nd grape harvest. Indulge your taste buds in the Columbia Valley and you’ll experience unique Premium Washington State Wines. Fall Time in the Valley at harvest time! Warm days & cool evenings, the perfect time for a picnic on the patio!! The Educated Cigar from Richland will be on hand with fine cigars and accessories and Sagegold Soaps will tantalize your senses.

The Art of Wine: The crush pad will be set up and weather permitting, we might be crushing.  We will be there to discuss the winemaking process and grapes!  Saturday afternoon at 4 pm, the winemaker will have a grape stomp.  Call 509.588.5332 to sign up.  Don't miss out on some great case specials this weekend!

The Art of Food: Indulge your taste buds with Gourmet food catered by local professionals.  The chefs are cooking something great!

The Art Of Music: The Rachel Bade-McMurphy Band will perform Saturday from noon to 4 pm and Sunday from 1 to 4:30 pm. Outstanding jazz music!
